De Parade

22 July - 7 Aug 2016, Moreelsepark Utrecht

 

A travelling open air parade of small theaters, restaurants and bars. There is lots to see and do for all ages. Bring the kids on wednesday afternoon for special children's theater shows, workshops, arts&crafts and the 'zweefmolen'. You can even bake your own poffertjes (dutch treat) or let the chef do the cooking for you at one of the restaurants. De Parade celebrates it's 25th birthday this year. Will you join the party?

 

 

 

Pluk de Nacht

The largest Open Air Film Festival in The Netherlands has grown to become a true meeting place and combines the screening of never-before-released films, animations and documenty tiltles with art, food, drinks, debates and parties. Admission is free. The festival offers a platform to many young artists, which means there is a lot more to see and do at the festival besides film.

Discover what the new cultural season in Utrecht has to offer. Over a hundred cultural organisations and groups show you what's new in the world of music, theater, dance, film, and museums. The kick-off takes place at music center TivoliVredenburg, de Neude turns into an dance square, you'll find all kinds of performances in the Schoutenstraat and lots of music at the Stadhuisplein. Have fun!

 

Boerenmarkt Vroeg

'Vroeg' is a farm, bakery, restaurant and store with regional- and seasonal products. Beautifuly located in the rural countryside between Utrecht and Bunnik. Nice to have lunch, dinner, buy your daily bread, jam, honey, fresh  fruit and vegetable juices. 'Vroeg' organizes different events througout the year. September 12th there is a farmer's market, where local farmers come together in the orchard and sell their produce.  

 

Dutch Film Festival

'Het Gouden Kalf', the dutch Oscars are awarded during the Dutch Film Festival. Who will be awarded best Dutch actor, actress, producer, director...?

During this festival there are a lot of movies to be seen, workshops to do, expositions to visit for young and old. If you're a cinema fan, it'll be a feast to be in Utrecht this week. 

 

Vol van Smaak autumn edition

'Vol van Smaak' celebrates autumn! Non-pretentious food festival with a laid back atmosphere. Every season the organisations picks a nice location in Utrecht for their event. There are food trucks with seasonal drinks and bites. There's live music and there are food related workshops for children and adults. This summer for example they organised a 'how to make Limoncello' workshop.

Nice, small market with stalls that offer self-made goods and products. Looking for original hats, jewelry, gifts, clothes, candles, toys, tableware, birdhouses, furniture, etc. Visit the Mariaplaats on saturday the 26th. 'Noest hout' is there as well, selling unique Utrecht wooden breadplanks and souvenirs. Done shopping? At Broodnodig they serve very good coffee and delicious sandwhiches...

 

Alles kids! cultural sunday

On this cultural sunday in Utrecht the kids rule. There are theater performances, workshops, movies, musical festivities, expositions in musea throughout the city especially organised for our youngsters and their family. Puzzle your way through a labyrint on Domplein. Young scientists visit a lecture on the development of the brain in De Winkel van Sinkel or do their own DNA-research at the Universiteitsmuseum. Craft beer festival

Are you a beer lover? During the Utrecht Craft Beer Festival (Streekbierfestival), local brewers visit the city of Utrecht so you can try their tastiest brews. The festival is hosted by various pubs and bars in the Utrecht city centre and entry is free – all you pay for is your beer. The participating businesses each serve beer from a different brewery, with suggestions for an accompanying meal or snack. Want to try every beer on offer? Organise a pub crawl!

 

 

Le Guess Who?

Winter is not kicking in yet, but Utrecht is looking forward to the holidays! This weekend have wintery fun at Knüss Winterfest. Laugh, dance, eat, drink, shop and go for a ride in the ferris wheel! There is a special spot for kids to hang out and have fun. Free entrance!

Art Festival Tweetakt/Kaap

Food Truck Festival TREK

Festival deBeschaving

deBeschaving is an intimate one-day exploratory festival for the creative, inquisitive and smart. On Saturday the 27th of June, the enchanting Botanical Garden of Utrecht Science Park becomes the playground for a surprising combination of live music, art and science on six different stages.
